We were asked to review their overall business trading. Sales were in decline and staffing issues were hindering growth. Costs of the trading operation were high, and the warehouse was in need of space planning. We reviewed each process involved in managing stock, digital technology, marketing and branding. We assumed the role of MD of the trading business reporting into the trading board and turned the business round and into profit very quickly. Unfortunately to a publicised incident (unrelated to our work) the trading business was closed; we assisted in the closedown, minimising losses and protecting the reputation of the charity.
